Easy scrunchie updo hairstyles for busy Gals

Introduction

Are you stuck in a rut of doing the same hairstyles everyday because you just don't have time to think or do something different with your hair? I am pretty sure we've all been there! A new hairstyle can give you a bit of extra confidence as well as finishing off a great new outfit! I have done some research and experimenting and I have created nine super easy updo scrunchie hairstyles that will only take you a max of two minutes. And don't worry; none of these hairstyles involve platting or braiding (as this takes longer)! All you will need is a good quality scrunchie, some plain hair bands and bobby pins.

Half up half down with a high bun

Half up half down with a high bun hairstyle step by step

Step 1: Scoop the top layers of your hair up into a high ponytail, while leaving the rest of your hair down.
Step 2: Divide that ponytail into two sections, and then wrap them around each other until you get to the ends (you could say its a quick way to do a plat look).
Step 3: Twist that ponytail around the base of your head to create a bun. Secure the bun with a plain hair tie. You can pull the hair in the bun out a bit to make it look fuller if you like. Secure the ends and the bun with some bobby pins.
Step 4: Add your scrunchie around the bun.
I have added the Cassia Zipchie scrunchie to this bun. This simple hairdo is perfect if you want something that looks elegant, but not too formal.

Half up do with a low ponytail

Half up half down hairstyle with a low ponytail step by step

Step 1: Scoop the top layers of your hair into a lower ponytail, while leaving the rest of your hair down.
Step 2: Pull you hair tie down a bit to give you a bit more space to work with. Above your hair tie, make a gap in the middle of your hair. Twist the ponytail into the gap. This creates a nice twist towards your hair tie.
Step 3: You can pull out and loosen some of the front areas of the upper section of your hair to add more fullness if you like. And then tie your scrunchie over the plain hair tie (to cover it).
I have used the Viola satin scrunchie in this style in the small size. This style is perfect for both a lunch outing or for dinner.
